Brief

Wellsford School is a full primary school with a present roll of approximately 350 - 400 students, catering for children in classes from Y0 to Y8.

As part of a programme of regular refurbishment to ensure all facilities are maintained to a high standard, we were involved in a project to replace an existing relocatable classroom (that was deemed beyond repair due to age and structural failure). Due to predicted future growth within the area it was decided to refurbish an existing space to accommodate the current students and to construct a new classroom on the site - with provision within the design to be added to in the future with a second classroom including a toilet and bag bay.

Out team worked with Guyco construction to fabricate, install and erect the structural steel components, with the project built to allow for future expansion, all roof beams were required to be pre-set to strict tolerances.
